Circular safety shoes are our vision. Shoes are a family affair for us. This is reflected in our Lupriflex brand: it contains the initials of the grandfather Ludwig Priebs of our Managing Director Markus Nelke in the seventh generation of the family. The addition “flex” refers to the first flexible soles in the mid-1960s. We know how to make good shoes. Our company owner and Managing Director Markus Nelke grew up in the shoe factory, so to speak, he is a trained shoe technician. We only use selected, high-quality materials. We monitor their processing closely. We have more than 225 years of experience. We have been making working shoes for as long as they have been around. It all started with felt slippers around 1798. The first working shoes - the “accident prevention shoes” of the time - were made in the 1930s. Our model “miner” is on display in the Ruhr Museum in Essen, Germany.
