The shock-absorbing heel wedge of the sole contains 100% polyurethane production waste Recycled material from 2 ½ plastic bottles is used for the production of the lining and upper of a pair in size 42. The lining is made from 60 % recycled PET. 1 2 2 1 3 3 A A B B The outer material is made from 100% recycled PET. 18 Saving oil and reducing waste The PETer has the smallest CO 2 footprint of all Lupriflex safety shoes. The upper material is made from used PET bottles. This means that no new fossil raw materials (crude oil) are consumed. Less energy is required and greenhouse gas emissions are reduced. Conserves resources The sole and footbed contain polyurethane from sole production waste. We therefore avoid waste by using it rather than disposing of it. This saves part of the raw material production.
