Twist injuries are still among the most common causes of accidents at work.Therefore, safety boots especially developed against twisting should support and protect the ankle. Model for the boot „Anti-Twist“ were boots for paragliding. The pilots need sturdy shoes to prevent injuries during take-off and landing. Ankle protection and a strong hold are particularly im- portant on rough terrain or during a hard landing. The idea was transferred to safety shoes and adapted accordingly. The ankle should be stabilized laterally. The integrated anti-twist protection is constructed in two layers: The ankle is supported on the inside and outside of the boot by a plastic stabilizer element. Above it is a leather outer element. The stabilizing embedded component is exactly adapted to the foot anatomy. The external component is flat. A stumbling and tripping will be avoided.
