3-127N ANTI-TWIST INDUSTRY Inspired by paragliding This is how the first boot was created to protect against twist injuries. Twist injuries are still among the most common causes of accidents at work. Therefore, safety boots especially developed against twisting should support and protect the ankle. Model for the boot „Anti-Twist“ were boots for paragliding. The pilots need sturdy shoes to prevent injuries during take-off and landing. Ankle protection and a strong hold are particularly im- portant on rough terrain or during a hard landing. The idea was transferred to safety shoes and adapted accordingly. The ankle should be stabilized laterally. The integrated anti-twist protection is constructed in two layers: The ankle is supported on the inside and outside of the boot by a plastic stabilizer element. Above it is a leather outer element. The stabilizing embedded component is exactly adapted to the foot anatomy. The external component is flat. A stumbling and tripping will be avoided. These two components work independently and do not influence the walking comfort. HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS The anti-twist system existing since 1988 has been repeatedly revised and improved. For more than 30 years this basic principle - which is also used in the model 3-127N Anti-Knick Industry - has been applied accident-free. stabilizer element PREVENTION OF TWIST INJURIES Many injuries such as compression, ligament or ankle injuries can be avoided by wearing these safety boots. Another field of application is the support of the ankle in the regeneration phase in case of injuries in the ankle area. The development stages of the “Anti-Twist” boot 1988 Today 2014 2006 1995 20
